Kindness &
Compassion
This is an
awesome video showcasing our school and the message we are empowering our
students with. Kindness and Compassion can go a long ways. *A few students from
our class are featured in the video.
As for my class,
we’ve accepted Rachel's Challenge!
We have signed
our names to the poster and officially accepted Rachel’s Challenge. When a
student is spotted doing an act of kindness or showing compassion to another
person, he/she earns a link to add to our classroom chain. At the end of the year we combine all of the classroom chain links and stretch them across our playground/park area. Since we have begun
this challenge, the chain in our classroom seems to be growing daily. (pictured below)
We are well over 50 chain links at this point. Our goal, as a class, is to have our chain links reach around the perimeter of our classroom. With a class that is this respectful, polite, and kind, I know we can reach our goal by the end of the year.
This is a great message for kids to learn. My class is fully embracing the challenge. They are going out of their way to help one another.
I am one proud teacher! These kids are AWESOME!
